Meet the Author

Photography is what I do in time snatched from everything else that jostles for space in everyday life. It’s also one of the key ways in which I experience the world.

I have a soft spot for ‘lo-fi’ photography partly because, for all its technical limitations, it tends to bring to the fore the raw photographic ability from which pristine technical perfection can sometimes distract; also, because it’s accessible to people who love photography but can’t afford high-end, highly priced photographic equipment.

I hardly ever arrange my subject and, if I do, then I opt for minimal intervention; I appreciate and relish serendipity. Similarly, I keep digital tweaking to a minimum: the effects you see in all photographs, unless otherwise stated, are created by overexposure, cropping, and adjusting the contrast, highlights, and blacks.

About

After a long career in editing, I'm now crossing over to web design. My day job still involves working with language and Corporate Social Responsibility, but I'm busy extending that idea to coding languages and the principle of 'tech for good'.

Find me on Dribble.
